cyborg using tech to create sound/color

I thought this post was fitting after we talked about art/tech intersections, and it’s a really cool project in general.

Neil Harbisson, an artist who was born colorblind, attached an antenna surgically to his head that parses color and through bone conductivity, turns it into sound that he hears. He gave a ted talk about this, and i thought it was kind of cool.

It’s sort of a really interesting project that exists at the intersection of art/science/tech, and Harbisson basically gave himself self-induced synesthesia, but it speaks to the way that tech can create new experiences in art.
